World’s First Rideable Hoverbike Looks Like Something Straight Out Of Star Wars

Finally, a human carrying drone has arrived. Thanks to Hoversurf inc. the Scorpion-3 platform allows you to fly on a single-seat aircraft effortlessly.

“It’s a unique electric-powered vessel combining a motorcycle seat with quadcopter drone technology bringing speed agility and stability of flight to the hands of amateur and professional navigators,” states their website.

The amateur vessel began as a “crowdfunding” project to inspire athletes, engineers, scientists, and inventors from all fields throughout the world.

Hoversurf says its hoverbike may be used for “extreme sports,” but with so much potential for personal transportation, it’s sure to be put to other uses if and when it evolves beyond the prototype phase.

But at least we have this bada** thing for now!

The Scorpion-3 is part of a series of flight projects which include Jetpack by Malloy, Aerofex, A. Duru, E-Hang, Bye Gravity, and E-volo.
