This Crazy-Cool Contraption Mimics The Effect Of A Raindrop Hitting Water

This tiny wood automaton by UK-based designer Dean O’Callaghan mimics the effect of water droplets hitting a body of water. The device uses concentric rings cut from wood which is manipulated by a hand crank. It was inspired by Reuben Margolin’s round wave sculpture.
