A species so adorable that it may even be named Adorabilis. If this isn’t the cutest little octopus we’ve ever seen, then I don’t know what is. Specimens from this adorable octopus have been collected since 1990 and now Stephanie Bush, a postdoctoral researcher from Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute in California, is considering naming the adorable octopus Opisthoteuthis Adorabilis.

It’s the same genus as Pearl, the pink flapjack in “Finding Nemo.” It’s only 7 inches in diameter and lives deep beneath the sea. The web between its legs allows it to “parachute” through the water while using the fins on its mantle to steer.
