So what states do you think offer the biggest bang for your buck? Take a look at this map created by Tax Foundation, it will give you a pretty good insight as to what the relative value of 100 bucks is across the country. Take for instance California, $100 is only worth about $88.57. New York is even worse, at $86.66.
In an email sent to the Huffington Post, Alan M. Cole, an economist at Tax Foundation said, “as people gather into densely-packed cities, the price of real estate in those cities rises as people and businesses compete for ownership of scarce land.”
