This father and son duo, who live in China, have been riding on the back of the successful Transformer franchise for a few years now, and are apparently making a killing at it.
They do this by creating actual life-sized Transformer robots made from scrap car parts. They sell the robots in various sizes and make roughly 1 million yuan, or $160,000 a year doing it.
Much like the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee sculptures you see standing behind them, these are often bought up and displayed in malls throughout China, and sometimes being rented out to various business that would like to use them.
Yu Zhilin and his son Lu Yingyun have capitalized tremendously off the popular Transformer franchise
