There’s something about blue water – as soon as you see it, you can’t help but want to jump in for a refreshing swim.
The Blue Lagoon in Buxton, Derbyshire is anything but safe – it’s like swimming in bleach or even ammonia and can severely irritate the skin and eyes of those daring enough to enter it.
If you still aren’t put off by that, the Blue Lagoon also possess several dead animals, floating debris and disused car parts.
It’s attractively blue hue is due to chemicals escaping out of the bordering quarry stone into the water. The blue water is so captivating and continues to attract tourist so much so that in 2013, the waters had to be dyed black to keep people out.
