These Flowers Are Unbelievably Created Using Splashes And High Speed Photography

Would you believe me if I told you that none of these are actually flowers, but are really just skillfully photographed images of colored water? At first glance, they really look like some sort of exotic flower you’d find in some lush rain forest — but they’re not.

The colorful images were taken in high speed by talented photographer Jack Long. Vessels and Blooms is a series captured with stunning precision that took months to perfect.

Long was able to create the distinctive images by concocting his own combinations of dyes, thickeners, and pigment for each shot.

“This series was a culmination of months of planning and testing. Hundreds of captures are made in testing and then many more during the actual final capture stage. A very few stand out as being the best,” he says
