Here is the unimaginably gorgeous gem-like turquoise ice of Russia’s Lake Baikal (nature lake). Amazing photographer, Alexey Trofimov, took these tremendous photos of Lake Baikal known for its crystal clear water.
Typically, the lake remains frozen from January to May, but that doesn’t stop tourists from catching their own personal glimpse of the beauty of this lake. Lake Baikal is the largest freshwater lake and contains 20 percent of the world’s unfrozen surface freshwater.
It is among the clearest of all lakes and is thought to be the world’s oldest lake at approximately 25-30 million years old
Gorgeous, right? Don’t forget to give this a share on Facebook before you go.
