The First Ever Scale Model Of Our Solar System Spans Across Seven Miles Of Desert

You’ve probably seen numerous models and illustrations of the solar system over the course of your life. However, when you do see illustrations it’s not easy to actually comprehend the staggering distance there is between each individual planet, and their orbit around the sun.



So filmmakers Alex Gorosh and Wylie Overstreet decided to head out to Black Rock Desert in Nevada to map out our solar system to perfect scale. They used glass spheres lit by LEDs and some GPS calculations to create it
