What a fantastic piece of work–Major kudos to the Dutch. All hail the ambulance drone, an airborne defibrillator that can reach anyone who is having a heart attack within minutes.
Live streaming to assist you
The way it works is by tracking emergency phone calls using a GPS. Once the drone arrives at the scene, a person can then watch, talk and instruct those aiding the victim by using an on-board camera connected to a control. There is even a live streaming webcam attached to further assist those in this difficult situation. Momont hopes to have an operational emergency drone network across the Netherlands in five years. The drone is expected to cost around $19,000 each.
