Watch as a seemingly ordinary paper sculpture hand carved by Li Hongbo turns into something that behaves just like a slinky. From far away and even up close, you would never have realized what these sculptures are capable of, or even what they’re actually made from. These paper sculptures were apart of an art exhibit that attracted huge crowds at Art Miami Fair in 2014.
The incredible thing about these sculptures is not so much their looks, but what they’re made of….. thousands of sheets of paper actually, which allows them to uniquely stretch and move the way they do. Take a look below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
Cool… but slightly creepy
This one gives you a pretty good idea as to how far they can stretch
Here’s how they’re created
I think the coolest part is the process of how the art is created. If you didn’t have time to watch the last video, I would probably make time at some point… it’s pretty cool.
