If I told you all of the sculptures below were made of paper, would you believe me?
While it looks like some sort of molded hard clay, we assure you it isn’t.
Innovative artist Calvin Nicholls has been using paper to create his works of art for over 25 years.
Nicholls calls his unique series, “Paper Zoo” and observes real-life animals and their movements creating sketches for references.
Each sculpture requires thousands of pieces of paper cut using X-ACTO knives, scalpels, and scissors each pasted together.
Each animal has its very own unique and intricate texture and Nicholls’ dedication the craft is admirable.
