Using Architecture To Visually Explain Mental Illnesses And Disorders

Mental illness affects 42.5 million Americans and if you can imagine what each mental disorder (i.e., depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia), what do you think they’d look like?

Federico Babina, known for architecture-inspired work, is the master behind a new project called Archiatric which depicts 16 different mental illness conditions in a state of repair.

For those who struggle with these conditions, the photos are all too familiar. The images paired with a YouTube video intensifies the effects of the images.
