LEGO Builds Drivable Bugatti Chiron Made From Over 1 Million Pieces

This life-sized LEGO car, the Bugatti Chiron, might not jump to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and it might not cost $3 million but it sure is close to the next best thing — and it’s made of pure LEGO.

Included are 3,300 pounds of LEGO Technic parts, 2,300 motors, and 4,000 gear wheels in its engine alone which accounts for 3,300 pounds of pure awesomeness.

While the car doesn’t reach the speed of the real thing, a former race car driver took it for a spin anyway. Unfortunately, the car can only go up to 12.4 mph, but hey, we’re not complaining.

The car is powered by two batteries and took more than 13,000 hours of engineering. Clearly, the efforts have paid off immensely. The LEGO Bugatti has room for two and is equipped with a speedometer and brake pedals. The car is manual, you can control the lights, and it can only go one speed.

Check out the specs below.
