Here’s What 100 Sheets Of Stacked, Intricate Laser-Cut Paper Looks Like

Virginia-based artist Eric Standley creates magnificently layered laser-cut paper pieces of art. Complete with complexity and Gothic and Islamic architectural influence these wonderous works of art are truly fascinating.

The meticulous attention to detail and Standley’s creative eye makes these cathedral-like pieces of artwork awe-inspiring.

“The reverence for these structures seems to have to do with the infinite,” explains the artist. “It’s trying to project something that’s not even human.”

Surprisingly, Standley says that he decided to explore this technique when he had accidentally discovered a pattern in some cereal boxes he had been working with, proving that you can be inspired by even the unlikeliest objects.
