Here’s What It’s Like To Be Launched Off An Aircraft Carrier At 160 MPH

The Navy unveiled their new electromagnetic catapult earlier today, and conducted a demonstration of the catapult on the flight deck of Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78). So what better way to christen it than to strap a GoPro camera and launch it off at 160 mph!

In case you’re not aware what catapult systems on boats are used for… it basically allows larger airplanes to get up to speed before they leave the runway. Since some boats are not long enough.
