Here’s What Happens When You Put A Bar Of Soap In The Microwave, And It’s Oddly Fascinating

Here’s a cool little science experiment that’s really easy to pull off, because all it involves is a bar of ivory soap and a microwave. Just place the bar of soap in their for two minutes on high heat, and what comes out is something completely unexpected. That experiment, and a few more are included in the video below. It’s all apart of fun science experiments that you can easily do at home.

The reason why the soap does what it does is because of Charles’ Law, also known as the law of volumes, which deals with the relationship of pressure, volume, and temperature of gas. When the bar of soap is placed in the microwave the air inside begins to expand. Try it out for yourself!
