Simon Beck is the creative mind behind these snow murals you see here. The idea came to him while he was skiing one day and decided he would draw a star on a lake… And the rest is as they say history. Beck plots out each design with a compass, string and measuring tape.. and then walks anywhere from five to nine hours from morning until late evening. The various snow patterns include geometric shapes, dragons and even snowflakes… that can only be seen from high above.
Beck also recently published a photo book of his wonderful snowshoe artworks featuring more than 200 photos of his work. If you’re interested, you can order ‘Snow Art’ directly through his website.
