Sometimes inspiration comes in the form of Portobello mushrooms – no really. That’s exactly how artist and photographer Carl Warner began his first foodscape series which has since taken his career to new and exciting places. In search for inspiration, Warner had crossed paths with mushrooms that happened to remind him of some sort of alien trees, thus inspiring him to create his unique work of edible art.
Breadford & Cheesedale
Below are only a few favorites however Warner’s complete collection is comprised of over 79 food scenes. It’s hard to believe that some of these fantasy lands are probably as tasty as they are surreal.
The Great Wall of Pineapple
Cucumber Bridge
Candy Cottage
Yellow Oasis
Cheese Volcano
Chocolate Express
Lettuce Seascape
Celery Island
Cheesescape
Meat Factory
Salmon Sea
Stilton Cottage
