Four friends decided to take a trip out to Deer Trail, Colorado, when they stumbled upon a place that’s really the last of its kind…. the Titan 1 Missile Silo. The Silo has been abandoned since the early 60’s, mainly because missile silos were incredibly inefficient and expensive to run and maintain. This place was abandoned in the 60′s and sealed off from existence. Once they found the graffiti plastered opening, all they needed to do was walk in….

This is a basic layout of what it looks like underground
Here’s the entrance
Since asbestos was a very common building material and prominent throughout the silo, they needed to wear masks
Here’s the first main tunnel with led to the main generator room that powered the plant
Below the beams, water still sits that is several feet deep
Generators that powered the entire facility were mounted on these giant mounts with springs that would absorb the vibrations
This was the first of many creepy black paintings with the eyes whited out…. freaky
The elevator shaft
More even longer tunnels
Graffiti covered most of the walls everywhere they went
Yep…. same drawing
The walkways were actually quite dangerous to walk on since it was nearly impossible to tell how deep the water was below… some points there were no water
What looked like blood at first was just hydrolic fluid
M0re freaky writing and graffiti
The exit hatch 50 feet straight up
