Rogue art by an unnamed duo on the Columbus College of Art & Design campus has everyone talking. These chalkboards have been surfacing all over campus throughout the semester and are intricately designed and beautifully accompanied by inspirational messages. The only clue given on the chalkboards is, #dangerdust.
Although friends know who these artistic culprits are, they request to remain anonymous and spread these delightful messages. As far as anyone knows, they are both seniors in Advertising & Graphic design. They actually didn’t think that anything would come of the chalkboards until the first one they did took off. Following the positive reaction of the first board, their professor encouraged them to keep up their work.
The two complete each masterpiece in one fell swoop (which can take up to 11 hours), usually working on Sunday or Monday nights in a vacant classroom.
The quotes have come from a variety of individuals including Banksy, Ellen Lupton, Claude Debussy, Nicole Jacek, Tavi Gevinson, J.M. Barrie, Stefan Sagmeister, Bill Cosby, Jessica Hirsche, and, most recently, Nelson Mandela.
