When we hear the word venom it is easily frightening to think of the catastrophe it can bring upon anything with a beating heart by incapacitating its victims. It sends chills up our spine and for good reason.
“What’s really interesting is that not all venoms are equal and not all work the same way,” said The Nature of Science Channel. “They’re as diverse as the animals that deliver it.” Professor Jamie Seymour knows about venom all too well and is sharing a Venom 101 lesson with us. This clip below shows what happens when venom from a box jellyfish is injected into the beating heart of a dead toad.
