If you really want to freak people out on a camping trip with a bear sleeping bag, then here’s your chance.
These awesome sleeping bags were created by Japanese artist Eiko Ishizawa and were inspired by the story of Bruno, a “problem bear” who found himself wandering away from the Italian Alps into Bavaria before being killed by officials who thought he was dangerous to locals.
According to Ishizawa, “I made an object with the realistic look of a bear, which modifies sleeping bag functionality. By hiring this connotation of outdoor goods, this work depicts the contradictive relationship between admiration and love of mankind toward wild nature, and the boundaries that we rarely brake.”
Ishizawa’s bear sleeping bag was for sale a few years ago for about $2,350. However, it doesn’t seem to be on sale anymore, but Amazon does have some similar ones in stock here.
