Los Angeles-based artist Alexa Meade has created living, breathing art. You might be wondering how she did it. Well, just imagine you’re in an art gallery admiring some painting and to your surprise, you notice it’s breathing. Is it your eyes, or is it the painting?
Turns out there are live beings who are painted using heavy and exaggerated highlights and shadows to make them look like intense paintings… only they’re not.
Meade uses acrylic on her subjects making them appear 2D against an Expressionist background
And the results are absolutely mind-melting
You can find Alexa’s exhibit in some of the most prestigious art galleries in the world and over at her website and Facebook page.
