9 Of The Most Terrifying Two Sentence Horror Stories Ever Told

“What are the best two-sentence horror stories you can come up with?” Asked one Redditor on the popular subreddit r/AskReddit.

The result of that question leads to some incredibly terrifying and clever horror stories that John Carpenter himself would be jealous of. It’s crazy how just two simple sentences can send chills down your spine.

It’s not always the pictures on the internet or the movies we see on television that make us the most afraid. Oh no, it’s the things we read and our imagination that make it even more real.

You’re probably going to want to keep the lights on for these horror stories, oh, and good luck sleeping tonight.

“The last thing I saw was my alarm clock flashing 12:07 before she pushed her long rotting nails through my chest, her other hand muffling my screams. I sat bolt upright, relieved it was only a dream, but as I saw my alarm clock read 12:06, I heard my closet door creak open.”

“The covers are always a safe place in my bed, everyone’s out and I’m home alone, I slip between the covers, trying not to think bad thoughts. In complete darkness, I whisper to myself, “Is it stupid that I’m afraid?”, “Don’t worry, friend, they can’t get us in here”, it whispers back.”

“You’re about to sleep and put your blanket on, one of your legs is freezing because it’s not covered by the blanket; you’re afraid of a monster touching your leg. Then you cover it, and you pull the blanket to your head until it’s covered, under the blanket you sigh, yet it’s already there.”
