2 Guys In Greenland Captured The Largest Iceberg Break-Up Ever Filmed

Filmmakers Adam LeWinter and Jeff Orlowski were on location filming in Greenland when they made history. They were able to capture the largest glacier calving ever recorded. The amazing event lasted for 75 minutes while the glacier  retreated a full mile and collapsed an area of ice the size of Manhattan. The height of the ice is about 3,000 feet, 400 of that being on the top while the rest lie below the water.

It’s apart of the documentary film called ‘Chasing Ice’which won Excellence in Cinematography at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and the Best Documentary from the International Press Association. Let us know what you thought below, and don’t forget to give this a share before you go.
