Basically, the deep web is any part of the internet not apart of the World Wide Web. It’s the content that is not indexed by Google, Bing etc…. Mike Bergman, founder of BrightPlanet says it perfectly, “searching on the Internet today can be compared to dragging a net across the surface of the ocean: a great deal may be caught in the net, but there is a wealth of information that is deep and therefore missed.”
This graph gives a pretty good idea about it
Not sure how accurate this number is, but it’s believed that 90% of the internet makes up the deep web. So what exactly is down there, well most stuff is non-indexed pages, but a lot of it’s disturbing things….. seriously, you can accidentally get caught up in some messed up stuff.
Here’s a few things the video doesn’t mention that goes on in the deep web: Human trafficking, necr*philia, child p*orn, stolen cars, passports, fake addresses, cannibalism, human experiments…. that’s only to name a few, and of course it’s not all bad. Anyways, check out this interesting video from Alltime10’s….
Not that I recommend this, but if you want to access the deep web you can do so by downloading the Tor Browser and following the steps. Drop us a comment below and make sure to give this a share on Facebook before you go.
