World’s First Preserved Blue Whale Heart Is Mind-Boggling Massive

Jacqueline Miller from the Royal Ontario Museum is schooling us on the biggest heart ever preserved.

The massive blue whale heart weighs in at 400 lbs and possesses dimensions of 5 ft x 4 ft x 4 ft.

To hear more about the giant heart, you’ll have to wait until the PBS and BBC One premiere on August 23rd and 31st.

Here’s the other cool part… A few facts that scientists previously thought were true have now officially been debunked.

The heart is nowhere near the size of a Volkswagen Beetle, and a full sized human clearly can’t swim through the aorta…. now a baby…. well that’s a different story.

Pretty crazy huh?!
