Nature is a wonderful yet puzzling thing. It can be scary at times but also beautiful in ways we can never recreate. What Slovenian photographer Marko Korošec saw after a climb up Mount Javornik is the kind of thing you would find in some XBOX game or comic book.
Following 10 days of Bora wind, snow and freezing frog, Marko courageously set out to snag a glimpse of the top of the mountain. Once the bad weather had subsided, Marko saw a ski resort blanked in unusually thick ice that had other worldly spiky structures.
“I love extreme weather and seen a lot, but this was just above my imagination what I experienced earlier this week” says Korošec, who also focuses on this type of weather photography.
