Check out the new plans for a skyscraper in New York City that’s throwing everyone for a loop.
It’s the first of its kind in Manhattan and plans has officially been unveiled to construct the world’s first U-shaped skyscraper to join the hundreds that already reside in the great city.
Dubbed the Big Bend, the ambitious project will be carried out by the world-renowned design team, Oiio Studio.
“If we manage to bend our structure instead of bending the zoning rules of New York we would be able to create one of the most prestigious buildings in Manhattan,” they wrote on their official website.”
Not only will it be the most mind-bending skyscraper the city has to offer, but it will also be the longest in the world. Dubai’s Burj Khalifa will fall second.
And check this out: The elevators will travel in loops and curves of the U-shaped 57ths Street skyscraper.
Construction date is still pending, but you can keep up-to-date on this project over on Oiio Studio.
