The Eshima Ohashi Bridge in Japan is one of the steepest bridges ever constructed. It looks more like a roller coaster than an actual highway. It’s the largest bridge in the world (
and in Japan) stretching a mile long with a height of 144 feet. From afar, the bridge looks absolutely terrifying but thanks to civil engineering, it’s is anything but scary to drive on — just your average morning commute.
The bridge’s high span is designed to accommodate boat traffic, as Sakaiminato is a major fishing port. Like what you’re reading? Be sure to give this post a thumbs up and a share with your friends on Facebook before you go. (h/t Sploid)
