This Incredibly Rare 16th Century Book Opens In 6 Ways To Reveal 6 Different Books

This book is old, and by old… I mean 16th century old. Sure, it doesn’t come with all the cool stuff the new Amazon Kindle has, and it can’t hold thousands of books…. but this old book can do something pretty amazing.

Printed sometime in the late 16th century, this book from the National Library of Sweden, is what is called a sixfold dos-à-dos binding.

Basically, it’s where six books are conjoined into a single publication, and can be read individually with the help of six perfectly placed metal clasps.

Each book is held with a metal clasp

The book not only has incredible craftsmanship, but is extremely rare
