The Windowless Private Jet Concept May Soon Become A Reality

[mashshare]

The days of flying and looking out of that tiny little hole may be coming to an end. Well…. OK maybe not entirely true, but if you could buy a private jet, then yes.

The private jet concept called Ixion is currently being developed by Technicon Design. Basically, all of the windows will be replaced with one giant screen that starts at the side walls and moves up to the ceiling. You will be getting a full 360 degree view of the outside.

How? Well, cameras will actually be mounted on the wings and outer body of the plane. It’s almost as if the entire plane would be encased in glass. Pretty sweet right? Also, the screens inside the plane will all be in high resolution making the views even more incredible.

According to Gareth Davies, Design Director, Technicon Design said, “The user experience is greatly enhanced by directly engaging the passengers with the environment outside, to the point of exhilaration by giving an unhindered panoramic view from the inside. The ethos of the project is simple, to challenge current thinking, and propose something a little different, but not just a fantasy.”

There is no set date as to when the plane will actually be for sale, but it is slowly becoming a reality.
