The weather in Antarctica is classified as being Condition 3 (nice weather), Condition 2 (not so nice), or Condition 1 (hell on earth).
Filmed at McMurdo Station, where it’s relatively sheltered by the surrounding hills, winds still averaged 157 mph during the time this video was filmed.
While humans don’t permanently reside in Antarctica, several thousand people live and work at various research facilities found on the continent.
And here’s a fun fact: The coldest recorded temperature on Earth happened in 1983 at Vostok Station, Antarctica… reading an insane −128.6 °F.
