Artist Transforms Her Studio Into Dreamlike Worlds Without Using Photoshop

At first glance, you might think these incredible images by Korean artist JeeYoung Lee are Photoshopped.

However, her impeccably beautiful dreamscapes are amazingly surreal and were created in her tiny studio in Seoul, South Korea. Some of the pictures are self-portraits and some are drawn from her own experiences, memoirs, and dreams. Some incorporate her culture by representing traditional Korean folk tales and legends.

Her elaborate sets are magnificent and completely free of digital manipulation. Lee achieves theses scenes by using handmade props, suspended objects, and unique lighting requirements; something that others would have achieved by simply Photoshopping their images.

The fact that Lee has refrained from using a computer program to create these images sets her apart from most artists of her time.
