NASA Just Released Largest Ever 4K image of the Andromeda Galaxy, And It’s Incredible

NASA has just released a picture of Andromeda — and it’s huge.  At 1.5 billion pixels and taking up 4.3 GB of space, you are now able to see this spectacular galaxy better than ever. This is the largest picture ever taken.  You would need 600 HD television screens to display it.

This is the closest galaxy to our Milky War. Published by DaveaChuk on You Tube, this fly-through video of the incredible galaxy is anything short astonishing. It’s unbelievably detailed to the point where you feel as though you’re actually there.

The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope snapped the full image, which is made up of 411 Hubble images, takes you through a 100 million stars and travels over more than 40,000 light years.

Now fly through it

Don’t forget to share Andromeda with your friends! (h/t earthsky)
