Jeff Frost has created one of the most beautiful, yet slightly disturbing time lapse videos you will ever see. It’s violent, strange, and beautiful all wrapped into one. What’s even more incredible is that Frost used 300,000 photos to complete the video….. yeah mind blown.
According to Frost:
The news agencies I contacted had no idea what to do with time lapse footage of riots, which was okay with me because I had been thinking about recontextualizing news as art for some time. After that I got the bug. I chased down wildfires, walked down storm drains on the L.A. River and found abandoned houses where I could set up elaborate optical illusion paintings.
The video is about 12 minutes long, but it’s worth every second. It’s a must watch.
