This isn’t your average amusement park… not by a long shot. The Salina Turda Durgău is located an incredible 368 feet underground in Transylvania.
So why would someone dig nearly 400 feet and build an amusement park??? Well, it used to be an old salt mine that dates all the way back to the 17th century.
It was then renovated into an awesome amusement park back in 2009, and has since become a popular tourist attraction.
Making your way down to the park you get to see just how beautiful the salt mine really is… with the walls covered in a sand-like layer of salt.
Some of the attractions include a huge ferris wheel, mini golf course, amphitheater and sports arena. What’s even better is that it will only cost you $6 to get in! Pretty sweet huh?! Check it out below:
You’ll need a coat…
… the temperature stays about 51 degrees with 80% humidity.
I need to mark this one down to visit asap! You can check out more over at their Facebook page if you’re interested.
Make sure to share this on Facebook, so all your friends can see. (Photo Credits: Salina Turda Durgău Facebook Page)
