Watch as talented Turkish artist Garip Ay recreates Vincent Van Gogh’s The Starry Night using an ancient technique known as Ebru, a traditional Turkish painting art.
Ebru Art on Dark Water is animated and uses water, paint droplets from a brush, and carrageenan, a substance which thickens the liquid to recreate the 20th century masterpiece.
The process is marvelous to witness. Starry Night is one of the most recognized paintings in the history of Western culture.
